I will post more later, but I do want to say the love of my life passed away peacefully today. Sam is in a much better place and is no longer suffering. Please help me celebrate his life.
It has saddened me deeply to read and hear about this journey you have been on with the man you call the love of your life. I am so happy that you have been able to call him that. I am now on my third marriage and just now I can say that about my wife. So what you have had has been an inspiration to me, and a blessing to many. My brother Todd's second wife, the love of his life, died of cancer about 3 years ago. He is now in a new relationship, but the pain and the loss are still there. We still mourn the loss of Leslie, because of who she was. Sam sounds to me like a precious blessing of grace, and your time together a tremendous gift, albeit too short. I hate losing loved ones too soon. It is beyond questions of fairness. But know that you are not alone, neither in this experience, nor in the world at large. Take care of yourself, and allow yourself the time and occasion to grieve well.
I am glad it was peacefully and I am glad you know he is in a better place and not suffering. Cherish all those wonderful times of every moment whether good or challenging. I didn't know Sam but I can tell you two were so happy together. My heart aches for you because I know you will miss him. I send lots of love and hugs and prayers of continued peace and comfort. And I am truly sorry you and he had to go through this. He will still be watching out for you.
